(smile) OK, Cairo’s Mom has tagged me for a most unusual tag. Do I wish to be a SAHM or a FTWM? Now, she did say tweak it a little. A little? Let’s see, as a Dad both of these are not a possibility. What I am at this time of my life is a Working Spend as Much Time with My Child as Possible, Dad. A WSMWTMC.The nice thing is that I do get time in my day to spend with my little one. This allows me to:research parenting questions that I have;observe what other parents are doing and compare notes;observe what my little one is doing and take notes;be of greater help to her so she can learn more;be at home more so I can do the house cleaning (just kidding).I think if my wife and I had a choice, we would both want to be home with our child. Children want to be with their parents sooo much during this period (go figure). Many parents I know and watch spend a lot of time pushing their kids away. Then the day comes and the kids don’t want to be with them---they’d rather be with their friends. Too late.We love being with our daughter. She’s funny, bright, clever and curious. So, another way for me to answer this tag is--I guess I’d prefer to be a SAHM (laugh).
