I was tagged by the wonderful Anggie of Anggie’s Journal to discuss what might happen by a visit from these two Genies.Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, in a country far away, a little child found a bottle on a beach. Curious, the little one picked up the dirty bottle and tried to see what was inside. Turning the bottle this way and that, the child (who had learned frustration from a caring adult) became frustrated and started shaking the bottle furiously. Nothing happened.Then in a fit of impatience the little child began rubbing the bottle, when suddenly a cloud of smoke arose from inside the bottle with a thunderous WHOOOOSH! As the smoke transformed into two giant figures, the child became fearful and began to tremble and cry.“You called us little one, now what do you wish?!” shouted the figures in unison.Tears streaming, the little child was trembling so much that all that was uttered was, “I wish to go home.”“So shall it be!” said the two figures and in a flash the child was home--without the bottle.The moral of the story: be careful what we wish for? -------------------------------
